How to read the Radar
There is no single right order for everything, but there is a useful order to start. The Radar is designed in layers — readers who follow the sequence below read better than those who jump straight to their favorite metric. Six steps.
1. Observe the regime
Is the Brazilian market defensive, neutral, or pro-risk? The aggregate reading (Risk-BR, 0–100) answers this before anything else. The regime does not tell you what to buy — it tells you what terrain you are standing on.
2. Observe the lenses
Which of the five lenses — Wealth, Electoral, Macro (CVM/Central Bank), Institutional/Integrity, Real Estate — is pressing the aggregate reading hardest? A pressed lens means: that regulatory or market dimension is under stress, forming, or changing regime.
3. Observe the intermarket
Are assets confirming or contradicting the regime? The intermarket panel reads Brazilian wealth-sector ratios — finance, utilities, commodities, REITs — on a comparable scale. When intermarket confirms regime, the reading gains weight. When it contradicts, the reading gains nuance: structure and mood are telling different stories — and the divergence itself is editorial information.
4. Observe the Ânima Index and the Perene Risk Index
Is the market behaving in an emotionally stretched or balanced way? The Ânima Index reads the aggregate sentiment of an asset or index; the Perene Risk Index reads the environment's risk appetite (0–100). Together — stacked under price — they answer whether what you see in price is regime or euphoria/fear.
5. Observe historical analogs
When have we seen something similar before? The engine finds historical windows with a similar regime reading and shows what followed within each — not as forecast, as distribution. In windows with this profile, over 60 days, the index moved between X and Y in most cases.
6. Build a hypothesis
The Radar provides context. The decision remains human. The hypothesis comes from here: you combine what you saw in the five prior layers and formulate the reading that will (or will not) sustain your decision. If you choose, you can log it — the Radar lets you revisit the hypothesis weeks later to see where it missed or held.
The Radar does not turn uncertainty into certainty. It turns noise into context.
